FIT WSS Code of Ethics
In March 2020, in anticipation for remote learning, the FIT Writing & Speaking Studio transitioned to an online environment. Throughout this transition, for both students and professors, the Writing & Speaking Studio proved to be vital for our remote education. Peer Writing Consultants began developing resources to be shared in our new learning environment, one of which was a refined Code of Ethics.
I had the opportunity to work with a number of peer writing consultants in developing a glossary for our writing center’s codes. Throughout editing and designing, we considered our audience’s education, neurodiversity, and web accessibility standards. The project is available to every student, teacher, faculty member, or any interested party through our center’s website and is frequently used in staff training.
